Dumper hydrostatique DW35

The largest capacity on the market without a particulate filter. With in-wheel motor transmission and mechanical motorization. It carries three metric tons with very low consumption. Slim and with great ground clearance.

The DW35 dumper is a vehicle with an articulated chassis and a 180-degree rotating hopper with a 3.5 ton load capacity. It belongs to the medium load range for these kinds of vehicles from Agrimac. However, it stands out from the rest because it has been designed with several innovative technologies that place it at the forefront of performance for construction machinery.

To take the measure of this dumper you have to look at it from the inside out. It is a model of new kind, oriented toward productivity and profitability. To meet these objectives, the engineering team has chosen to include in-wheel hydraulic motor transmission accompanied by a low-consumption 18.5 kW mechanical engine. In addition to saving on fuel, there is no requirement for installing a particulate filter or undergoing periodic inspections in the European Union. This legal exemption, together with the transmission, represent an outstanding savings in maintenance costs.

The hydraulic in-wheel motor transmission represents an innovation that is very much to the liking of those interested in mechanics. This is the Twin-Lock anti-slip system. It is a hybrid configuration of the hydraulic circuit that allows for working in parallel and in series. The goal is to improve 4×4 traction. The way to do this is to divert the oil flow from the wheel that has less traction to the one that has more. It is an automatic system with practically instantaneous operation. When it detects that one wheel is slipping, or what is the same thing, that it doesn’t have as much traction as another one, the Twin-Lock anti-slip system compensates for the lack of traction of one wheel with the other on the opposite side. To achieve this, it is necessary to connect the two bands of in-wheel motors to each other. This transmission configuration makes for safer driving for the operator, more efficient vehicle travel on any surface and a smooth ride that translates into the absence of vibrations.

In terms of vibration, the Twin-Lock anti-skid system should be considered together with the reinforced chassis with an anti-vibration subframe and the four silent blocks that cushion the engine group, isolating it from the chassis. The combination of these elements with the large wheels results in a very comfortable and silent ride.

The hydraulic transmission with in-wheel motors largely determines the performance of the vehicle due to a number of factors. The first point on this list refers to fuel consumption due to the greater efficiency of distributed motorization compared to a centralized one with mechanical transmission. Secondly, it should be noted that distributed motorization makes differential axles unnecessary, which saves on a great deal of weight and volume for the vehicle. The third point is a consequence of the previous one: dispensing with the differential axles implies not insignificant savings on spare parts, repairs and lubrication work. With regard to the latter, it is worth noting that the dumper components are lubricated with the transmission oil itself. For this reason, the only lubrication work necessary is to monitor the oil level, which is shown on an external viewer in sight of the operator.

As can be deduced from the previous paragraph, the in-wheel motor transmission reduces maintenance work to a minimum. If we add to this the quality of the steel, welds and mechanical components, we get a piece of equipment that doesn’t need to be taken to the repair shop. It’s not by chance. Reliability is the main objective of the Agrimac rental vehicle range. The DW35 is designed to top the list of working hours for machinery rental services because it doesn’t need to stop. The economic translation of this is called profitability.

The ruggedness of the dumper that we were aiming for is perfectly combined in the DW35’s design with a slim profile, high ground clearance and a driver’s position with great visibility. As a whole it is a highly manoeuvrable and durable vehicle capable of carrying out the toughest jobs and the most precise manoeuvres on complicated surfaces.

The driver’s seat for the DW35 is in line with the rest of the vehicle; both the indicators and the controls and the seat are chosen to last for years, just as if they had just left the factory. Everything that comes into contact with the operator is highly durable. At the same time, the layout provides the greatest possible comfort.

In sum, it can be said that the DW35 dumper is a machine designed from the inside out in which all elements are aimed at maximizing productivity and savings, which makes it a highly profitable investment.
