Barely one metre wide and three metres long, this tractor is the result of years of work by a great team of professionals who have managed to bring to market a vehicle with sterling features, great reliability and unbeatable performance. It is rare to combine in single machine the highest quality components, optimum performance and low investment and maintenance costs.
What has been achieved is a tractor so competitive that it overshadows larger-capacity vehicles. Its technical and commercial success is based on several aspects.
The first is reliability. Both the materials and the components are of top-quality European manufacture. The first of these is the three-cylinder Kohler turbo diesel engine that provides 56 hp and 225 Nm. This is followed by the chassis itself, which in both its wide and standard versions is reinforced to withstand adverse working conditions.
The second is performance. The BR60 is designed to operate with precision in horticultural tasks such as greenhouses. Here its inside turning radius of 360 metres, smooth steering and great visibility with and without a cab are particularly appreciated.
The low centre of gravity, the wide version of the vehicle and the fifteen degree oscillation of the axles are designed for mountain farms with steep slopes and forestry work. Dragging and earth processing tasks on slippery slopes full of uneven terrain give an idea of the work capacities of the BR60.
In this same sense, the possibility of putting a cab on the tractor, added to the combination of front and rear implements, provides a huge range of options and workplaces.
The third point on this list is the cost section. Both the low-consumption engine and the light weight of the vehicle result in considerable fuel savings. If we add to this the ease with which the farmer himself can carry out basic maintenance tasks such as changing filters, belts and liquids, we have a machine that hardly requires attention from mechanics.
Ergonomics tops the list of key points. It is not a minor matter. Operator comfort is a critical factor in machine performance. The adjustment of the seat and the mechanical cushioning allow the driver to work long days without getting tired. What’s more, all the levers and controls are arranged in a way that allows intuitive driving.
Beyond these key points, the reversibility of the drive, the 1,300 kg rear lift capacity, the 24-speed transmission and the magnificent digital control panel are proof of the great ambitions of this tractor’s engineers.
