Carretilla elevadora TW35
The only all-terrain forklift with in-wheel motors capable of lifting 3.5 tonnes. The most compact forklift with the best load-to-weight ratio on the market.
The TW35 forklift is a hydrostatic model capable of lifting 3,500 kilos to a height of six metres. It has two thermal engine options depending on the forklift’s area of use. For the European Union, it is equipped with a 51 HP Kohler engine with DPF. Outside the EU, it features a 50 HP Perkins engine without DPF. In both cases, they are equipped with 4x4 in-wheel motors.
The choice of in-wheel motor configuration defines the overall design of the machine. The result is a vehicle without differential axles, in other words, more lightweight; with fewer components and a smaller size while retaining load capacity. The improvement with the introduction of this motorisation can be observed by comparing the dimensions and weight of the TW35 with previous forklifts model TH-350 The choice of in-wheel motor configuration defines the overall design of the machine. The result is a vehicle without differential axles, in other words, more lightweight; with fewer components and a smaller size while retaining load capacity. The improvement with the introduction of this motorisation can be observed by comparing the dimensions and weight of the TW35 with another forklift that has the same load capacity but lacks distributed motors.
This reduction in components directly results in savings in both maintenance tasks and spare parts. The second benefit is profitability. In a vehicle with in-wheel motors, the TCO and cost per working hour are up to 35% lower than that of a traditional forklift with differential axles.
The commitment of Agrimac’s engineering team to this technology has achieved a formidable balance in this machine between the hydraulic system with a **420-bar pump** and the four **in-wheel motors in parallel**, resulting in optimal performance with minimal fuel consumption.
The response of the TW35 on challenging terrains is unmatched by any other machine. Whether on snow, ice, bumps, puddles, or mud, the anti-slip block instantly coordinates the effort of each in-wheel motor, distributing the energy required for each wheel to ensure grip and more effectively transmit the engine’s power to the ground.
This coordination mechanism reduces the load on the thermal engine, saves fuel, and allows for high-precision driving. Along these lines, the TW35 has a small turning radius due to its short wheelbase. Added to this are the 345 mm of ground clearance, ensuring it can smoothly overcome all types of obstacles.
The maximum slope of the TW35 is a feature that deserves to be highlighted on a sticker on the body. It can operate at full load on slopes of up to 35% in the 4PX version and up to 25%
The ratio between the machine’s operating weight and its load capacity is 1.20. This figure is one of the indicators that allows for an assessment of the design. Of course,
The TW35 has a very low fuel consumption, precisely due to the vehicle’s low weight and the efficiency of the anti-slip block.
In addition to the design, the reliability and performance of the TW35 rest on the quality of its components. The first of these are the engines in its two versions, both of which have low fuel consumption. Additionally, in the 4VX version, it includes a long-lasting transmission belt and features some improvements in the DPF layout, resulting in more efficient regenerations. Another innovation in the Agrimac forklift range is the elevated position of the exhaust pipe in this model.
The TW35 model incorporates innovations introduced in the medium forklift range, such as the oil temperature control set at 50 degrees using two independent electric fans, as well as the elevated air intake mushroom, which aids in cooling by drawing in clean air.
In terms of transmission, it is worth noting that the high capacity of the TW35 is partly due to the incorporation of the Linde pump, which allows pressures of up to 420 bar and is one of the main reasons for its high performance on slopes and rough terrains. It should also be mentioned that the 4x4 transmission is disengageable and configured in parallel. This setup allows a transmission flow controller to distribute the effort of each axle, according to the forklift operator’s preference. It is activated via a button on the dashboard, which initiates a timer to maintain a different power distribution between axles for a few minutes. For example, when climbing a ramp, the driver can allocate 75% of the power to the rear wheels and 25% to the front. Once the timer expires, the differential lock disengages, and power is distributed as in a standard 4x4.
As with the other Agrimac models, the TW35 includes four minimex units accessible from the outside of the vehicle.
The cabin of this forklift is spacious, with a wide view of both the surroundings and the load in any position. The driver’s seat is very comfortable. It is mounted on four shock absorbers with a double anti-vibration system, just like the engine. The feeling of comfort, control, and driving precision is immediately apparent.
The seat is ergonomic with suspension and adjustable. The steering wheel is also adjustable in height and tilt. Added to these comforts are powerful LED headlights for driving, and the option to install air conditioning and heating. The combination of these elements achieves the comfort of an office, making long workdays feel shorter.
In terms of safety, several features stand out: the first is the brake priority valve, which increases the **braking force with minimal pedal pressure**. Another key safety feature is the negative brake.
The TW35 also features an emergency braking system when powered off and an emergency button on the dashboard that shuts down the systems and activates the negative brake.
Additionally, the forklift is configured to stop and activate the negative brake if the seat pressure sensor detects that the driver is not seated. The control unit can also be set to prevent the machine from moving if the driver’s seat belt is not fastened.
These safety configurations are controlled from the forklift interface. It is a screen with control buttons that displays information from the engine and pump control units as well as sensors distributed throughout the machine. From here, gears, electronic acceleration stabilisation, and many other options can be configured.
The TW35 is the top of the range among Agrimac forklifts. A true flagship of our brand. It is manufactured with the highest quality materials and equipped with the best components. Its design is the result of decades of accumulated knowledge by Agrimac’s engineers. It has far exceeded the most demanding tests to meet our customers' expectations for excellence.
